Caption: Children taught road sense on their own highway at Essex school. To teach road sent to the 500 pupils at the Hutton (ICC) residential school near Brentwood, Essex, a miniature complete road system with all approved highway signs has been laid out by the pupils in part of the grounds. Children actors 'policeman'while others drive toy motors to and fro. One section of road is permanently 'up'. The scheme is the idea of the headmaster, Mr RC Higdon and he has also instituted an offenders court.
